Heather Rudd and Khemos Khopi++
New to the dressage show arena, but with years of experience in other disciplines under her belt, Heather and her father got to share an incredible 2011 show season. Owned and Bred by her Father, John Albright, KK had a wonderful year and made both his owner and trainer/rider proud! This year they earned two top honors in the Half Arab Sporthorse Awards. In just one show season they were earned their Legion of Merit and Legion of Honor  after receiving her impressive dressage scores thru 73.46%. Their fantastic show season didn't end there, they earned 4 Regional top 5's and 2 Regional Reserve Champions all before Arab Nationals.  Arab Nationals was an exciting week, each day KK became more focused.  Just missing out on Top 10 in Dressage, the pair finished the week off at Nationals with top honors betting out everyone as National Champion Sport Horse In Hand....what a great end to the show season and a great start in your dressage career!

Claire Thoma and MCH Savannah
I have seen this pair blossom over the last 3 years from a training level jr.rider to an accomplish 3rd level young rider. What a fantastic year 2011 was for Claire earning her Bronze medal at her very first show of the season! She also qualified for Regional Championships at both 2nd and 3rd levels.  Her hard work paid off at regionals earning her a 5th place finish at 2nd level and 10th at 3rd Level in our 7 State Region!  Not only did she do fantastic at Regionals, but Nationally she became a ranked rider by ending up in the Top 20 Young riders in the Nation at 2nd Level.   This could only be topped by the combinations finish as the USDF All Breeds Winner at 2nd Level  for the American Morgan Association beating out all professional and adult amateur riders. What a great job!!

I am so proud of my students and their accomplishments in and out of the show arena.  Even if you are not interested in showing, I can help you reach your full potential through setting goals with your horse and learning how to reach them. You too could enjoy all the fun by joining the Excelsior Team. A few stalls are available.
